Your passion is plain, not dressed or glammed up like you expect it to be.

Don't pressure your passion to mesmerize like Beyoncé or captivate like forever POTUS Obama. It's just your plain old passion. Think Cinderella who did all the work, not the one at the ball. Your passion hasn't formally met the world. Yet.
Your passion is the skin you’ve been wearing your whole life. Indistinguishable from who you are, it's what you think and how you do what do you do.
Your passion feels routine like jeans, a white tee and turkey sandwich for lunch. Like watching your favorite shows on the DVR — a ritual. Void of a new adventure's thrill, it's exactly the opposite.
Your passion is written on the pages of the books you read. Your Google history is filled with the keywords. Those are your keys to freedom. Unlock the door.
It's just your plain old passion. Think Cinderella who did all the work, not the one at the ball. Your passion hasn't formally met the world. Yet.
Your passion is the destination in your personal GPS. A journey that began long before you entered this lifetime and you're still in route to your destination. It's the longest road trip ever and you have many, many miles to go.
Your passion is so plain that sometimes you can’t see it, and you cannot be what you cannot see.
The point is that your passion is already your purpose. You don’t have to find it because it already chose you. It's etched in your DNA. What you have to do now is take a moment and ask yourself, "What is that fire in my belly?”
Give it words. Don’t worry if they don't ring in your ears, they will echo in the walls of your heart.
What you love, already loves you back. Your passion is patient and waiting for you to confess that it's relevant. It's important and already inextricably associated with the you that you are. It's been there the whole time, the manifestation of your highest expression.
If you've already had this realization, congrats on having the courage. If you're in the purposeful process of unleashing your passion -- welcome to your future. Stop telling yourself to stop wasting time with hobbies or to get serious about something that matters. Pursue what you love.
Dig your heels into what already matters to you. Your passion is so plain it expects you to know it’s the foundation on which you stand every day. Whether or not you acknowledge it, it’s always guiding you toward your fate.
I've always been a creator. Making magic from nothing but pictures in my mind. Creating from scratch using paint, fabrics, computers, wood, new tools — anything to get the job done. I love to create. Yet I'd still ask what's my passion? Like, specifically what? What's my divine purpose?
Then I would do creative projects and wait for an answer. In my mind, those projects were second nature, hobby-ish and fun pastime. Not true.
When asking for direction about my passion I didn't suddenly hear the voice of God. The answer came in the form of intuition and action. It came through my thoughts, my heart and my hands.
My passion was as plain as a robe slipped on at the start of each day and worn out into the world. My passion sat in the passenger seat and had the AUX cord. I trusted it with the soundtrack of my life because it was my natural conductor. What brings you joy should be infused into every aspect of your work.
Passion is about aligning with your soul’s destiny. It's you doing your work because it will never stop demanding to get done. Your passion grows from a fire that no force can extinguish, not even you. Once you deliberately set your intentions in motion your heart's desires will follow.
If something in your mind right now is saying, "Hey maybe this is my passion." Believe it.
Give yourself permission to be free. You know exactly what in your life aligns with this message. Call it by name. Take your passion and dress it up. Perfect and make it shine how only you can.
Spend time on what fulfills you and your passion will grow stronger. You will become more confident and self assured. Become the force you are meant to be in the world.
Honor your passion and lead with your light.
